Cristiano Ronaldo ignited speculation over his future at Real Madrid by saying he will soon "give an answer" on what's next for him following Saturday's frantic Champions League win over Liverpool.

The 33-year-old is contracted at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2021, and there have been no recent legitimate reports of him seeking a transfer from the Spanish capital.
"In the next few days I will give an answer (on my future)," Ronaldo said in Kyiv, as reported by The Times' Oliver Kay. "Now we have to enjoy the moment. The future of any player is not important. We have made history."
The Portuguese's words have led some critics to accuse him of trying to step into the spotlight after a classic final in which he didn't score. Gareth Bale netted twice following Karim Benzema's fortuitous opener to record a 3-1 victory and Los Blancos' third successive triumph in the fabled tournament.
Ronaldo finished the season as the Champions League's top scorer with 15 strikes, but in the weekend's showpiece was only able to muster one shot on target and didn't complete a single take on.
