Twitter went wild after Ronaldo's epic performance to sink Atletico
Cristiano Ronaldo sent Twitter into a frenzy after completing a hat-trick to inspire Juventus to a 3-2 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid in their Champions League last-16 tie.
The Old Lady were insipid in a 2-0 loss in Spain, but with Ronaldo at the forefront of the action Tuesday, Juve turned things around in Turin.
After the final whistle, the bulk of the uproar online stemmed from Atletico manager Diego Simeone's manic celebrations in the first leg of the tie, as the emotional bench boss mimicked grabbing his crotch after an Atleti goal, talking after the match about the "balls" that both he and his team showed during their victory.
The Internet never forgets.

There was also plenty of praise, naturally, for Ronaldo, who netted his fourth career hat-trick against Atletico.

Juventus have done it. They save their best performance of the season for the most important game of their season. Fabulous Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s why they gave him The Godfather offer last summer.
