Lewandowski makes Champions League history with 4 goals in under 15 minutes
Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski continued to cement his status as the world's best striker by scoring four goals in quick succession during Tuesday's 6-0 win over Red Star Belgrade.
After missing a penalty in the first half, the Bayern Munich forward went on a scoring rampage and bagged the fastest quadruple in Champions League history with a time of 14 minutes and 31 seconds.
He clinched the record with a clever maneuver inside the Red Star to give Bayern a commanding 5-0 lead in the 67th minute.
Lewandowski now leads all Champions League scorers with 10 goals in five matches and brings his season total to 27 tallies in 20 games across all competitions.
The 31-year-old previously scored four goals in a Champions League match in 2013 while playing with Borussia Dortmund. Barcelona star Lionel Messi is the only other player to bag a quartet in multiple Champions League contests.
