Juventus and RB Leipzig put on a spectacular show in their Champions League clash Wednesday in Germany, with the Italian side claiming an impressive 3-2 victory despite playing much of the second half with 10 men.

Juve went behind twice in the contest and lost goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio to a straight red card in the 59th minute when the match was level at one apiece but battled back to win their second consecutive game to open this season's Champions League league phase.

The entertaining encounter had a little bit of everything, with five goals, the aforementioned sending-off, a penalty for the hosts via VAR, multiple posts struck, and, most notably, some sensational tallies at each end.

Francisco Conceicao turned David Raum inside-out to score the winning goal in the 82nd minute, but the picks of the bunch came from strikers Benjamin Sesko and Dusan Vlahovic, who exchanged golazos on either side of the halftime interval.

Sesko opened the scoring with a thunderous strike in the first half, followed later by Vlahovic curling in a beauty from just outside the area in the second stanza. Both finished the match with two goals each, playing a starring role in arguably the most entertaining game of this season's competition thus far.

Juve "left the locker room like a team possessed" after manager Thiago Motta's halftime team talk, Vlahovic said, according to Agence France-Presse.

"I'm very happy for the team. We played almost a half with 10 men and showed that we were a team, winning deservedly," the Serbian added. "We pressed them high and succeeded."

"We played even better with 10 men. The courage was not mine but that of my players," Motta explained to reporters after the win. "Even with one man less, the will was to go forward and hurt the opponents. So why go back? We did well until the last minute."
