Humans can't fly. Luckily for Erling Haaland, he doesn't seem encumbered by those mortal restrictions when he's on a football pitch.

The Manchester City striker soared through the air to score a scarcely believable flying backheel goal in Wednesday's 5-0 Champions League destruction of Sparta Prague.

Haaland scored twice in the lopsided victory - of course, he did - to bring his career tally to 44 goals in 42 Champions League matches.

"If I tried to do that I'd pull my groin," Phil Foden, who opened the scoring after just three minutes, told reporters. "I don't know how he did it. I just think it's just his long legs.

"He's a freak, isn't he? I've seen him score one similar against Borussia Dortmund."
