Manchester City went into Wednesday's Champions League match against Club Brugge knowing that only a win would be enough for them to reach the knockout stage and avoid a humbling early exit in the league phase.
Their task was made more difficult on the stroke of halftime when Raphael Onyedika opened the scoring for the visitors at Etihad Stadium.

But Pep Guardiola's team turned things around in the second half.
Mateo Kovacic scored early after the interval to level the match, and an own goal from the visitors nine minutes later put City ahead and on track for the knockout stage.
