Two-time defending European champions Spain will be one of nine top seeds for the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying draw, as the pots were released Friday ahead of the event - scheduled for February 23.
A total of 53 teams will be divided into nine qualifying groups, with eight groups comprised of six countries while one section will have only five.

As tournament hosts, France have already qualified automatically and thus are not involved in the draw.
As noted by UEFA, the two top teams from each group will qualify for the competition, while the eight best third-place finishers will enter a playoff for the final four places in the tournament.
Qualifying begins in September.
