3 things you need to know about Wednesday's Champions League action
Finally, something went right for David Moyes.
Manchester United overturned a two-goal deficit with their most complete performance of the season, beating Olympiakos 3-0 at Old Trafford.
You didn't have to be in Manchester to hear the collective sigh of relief.
At Westfalenstadion, Borussia Dortmund fell 2-1 to Zenit St. Petersburg, but the Germans prevailed 5-4 on aggregate.
Here's everything you need to know about Wednesday's Champions League action ...
Smiles all around at Old Trafford
Even the most ardent Manchester United hater had to feel for David Moyes coming into Wednesday's fixture.
This wasn't all of his fault, but the blame was placed squarely on his shoulders as United plodded through the season.
Perhaps things will be different now. A resounding 3-0 win came courtesy of a Robin van Persie hat-trick.
His third goal was the winner, and it came from a free kick.

It wasn't all good for Man United, however, as van Persie suffered a leg injury in the 89th minute and did not return to the game. A big win coupled with a long layoff for one of their best players sounds about right for this incarnation of the Red Devils.
But Wednesday night is one for celebrating. Manchester United are through to the final eight. Moyes in?
Dortmund survive at home
It got hairy at times, especially after Hulk unleashed this thunderbolt in the 16th minute, but Borussia Dortmund survived.

Zenit could only muster one more goal. Their fans didn't cover themselves in glory either.

Robert Lewandowski picked up a yellow card and will miss the first leg of the quarterfinals.
"It was not the perfect match by us," said the Dortmund striker. "We know we need to do a better job than this, but it is only important that we are through to the next round."
A tantalizing final 8 awaits
This is the first time all eight group winners advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals.
And what a group it is: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and PSG.
Wow.
The draw will take place on Friday, but we're in for four mouth-watering matchups.
This is going to be fun.
