It's looking a lot like a 2011-12 Tottenham game at the Santiago Bernabeu.
In a first half where Real Madrid popped four goals past Basel to kick off their defense of the Champions League title, Gareth Bale scored Los Galacticos' second of the night by teaming up with Luka Modric, who he spent four seasons playing alongside at White Hart Lane.
After Modric provided Bale with a slick through ball using the outside of his foot, the Welshman took 'keeper Tomas Vaclik to school by chipping the ball over Basel's No. 1 and then gently tapping it over the goal line with his second touch.
