GIF: Wesley Sneijder scores 2 stunning goals to lift Galatasaray past Fenerbahce
Wesley Sneijder's performance during Turkey's fiercest rivalry over the weekend is something to behold.
Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have locked horns in the Turkish Super Lig for 105 years, with the latter enjoying the overall win total. However, it's Galatasaray who've enjoyed more success recently. The trend continued during their 379th meeting on Saturday.
It was a tight match, as expected, for a majority of the 90 minutes until the dying moments of the game when Sneijder opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from roughly 30 yards out that smashed into the back of the net.
But the lead didn't last long. Fenerbahce equalised two minutes later, only to see Sneijder save the day once again with an equally impressive strike from distance to put Galatasaray up 2-1 and give them three points.
