Standard Liege fans could face 5-year stadium ban for Steven Defour banner
Belgian authorities and the country's football federation are reportedly seeking action against a group of Standard Liege supporters who displayed a massive banner depicting the severed head of Anderlecht midfielder Steven Defour.

The banner, which said "Red or Dead," referenced the club's colours and branded Defour - who once played for Standard Liege - a traitor for signing with the club's greatest rival. As seen above, the drawing shows a masked character, who seems to be Jason Voorhees of "Friday the 13th," holding Defour's decapitated head.
The Guardian notes that Belgium's interior ministry is considering a five-year stadium ban, along with a €5,000 fine, for the supporters involved in creating the banner and unfurling it ahead of the match.
Belgium's foreign minister, Didier Reynders, called the banner "tasteless, stupid and unacceptable," while former prime minister Yves Leterme denounced the tifo on Twitter.
