Zenit St. Petersburg signs Hulk to new contract through 2018-19 season

Hulk is staying in Russia.
Zenit St. Petersburg announced Monday that they have inked the physically imposing Brazilian attacker to a new contract that extends through the end of the 2018-19 season.
Hulk on the new contract: "I'm happy to extend my contract with Zenit through 2018/2019. I hope to continue to bring joy to this great club"

His previous deal was set to expire in 2017. Financial details of the 28-year-old's new contract were not released.
Hulk, who has won 41 caps for Brazil over his career, joined the Russian club from Porto in 2012, making 92 appearances and scoring 44 goals in that time.
