Marcelo yellow carded vs. Atletico Madrid, will be suspended for 2nd leg
Reuters
Real Madrid will go into the second leg of their quarterfinal tie against city rivals Atletico next week even at 0-0 on aggregate, but with a key disadvantage on the team sheet.
Left-back Marcelo was shown a late yellow card, in the 89th minute, in fact, for a foul on Mario Mandzukic and will subsequently be suspended for the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on April 22.
As a result, manager Carlo Ancelotti will likely be forced to insert Fabio Coentrao into the starting lineup in lieu of the afro-clad Brazilian.
