Chelsea was seconds away from entering halftime with a one-goal deficit until Willian brought the visitors level against FC Porto.
Minutes after Andre Andre opened the scoring with a close-range effort off Asmir Begovic's rebound, Chelsea won a free-kick just outside the Porto area.
Willian was given the honour and promptly thumped his shot into the top corner of goal, with Porto 'keeper Iker Casillas appearing to claim his view was obstructed thanks to the mass of bodies in front of him.
The Spaish 'keeper even looked as though he was struggling to see Willian and the ball moments before the shot as he turned his palms to the sky out of frustration.
