In what could prove to be the final Champions League match of his illustrious career, Francesco Totti was greeted with a rapturous ovation by the Santiago Bernabeu faithful during Roma's trip to the Spanish capital on Tuesday.
The Roma icon - who made his first appearance at Real Madrid's hallowed stadium in 1995 as a fresh-faced 18-year-old - came on for a brief cameo as the Italian side was knocked out of the tournament by virtue of a second consecutive 2-0 loss to the Spanish juggernaut.

Now 39, Totti could very well decide to hang up his boots come season's end, making the above reception a fitting conclusion to a brilliant career.
