Favourable draw helps Champions League betting odds for Bayern Munich, Real Madrid

Drawing heavy underdogs Benfica and Wolfsburg helped the betting odds of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, respectively, in updated odds released by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook on Friday.

The update sees Bayern's implied probability of winning the Champions League rise from 26.67 percent to 28.57 percent, an increase of 1.9 percentage points.

Oddsmakers see the draw having an even greater impact on Real Madrid, whose implied probability of claiming the trophy climbs from 15.38 percent to 18.18 percent, an increase of 2.8 percentage points.

The two sides, however, both remain behind firm favourite Barcelona. The reigning title-holder is expected by oddsmakers to become the first club in the modern era to retain the Champions League trophy. A quarter-final meeting with a stingy Atletico Madrid side did nothing to change that perception.

Meanwhile, the most intriguing quarter-final tie - and arguably the most evenly matched - sees Paris Saint-Germain clash with Manchester City. The odds for both clubs to hoist Europe's most treasured piece of silverware remained unchanged after Friday's draw, with the French behemoth pegged as the favourite over its English counterpart.

Here is a look at the odds in their entirety:

Barcelona 3-2 3-2
Bayern Munich 11-4 5-2
Real Madrid 11-2 9-2

Atletico Madrid 12-1 15-1
Manchester City 15-1 15-1
Wolfsburg 50-1 100-1
