Amsterdam Arena set to be renamed after Johan Cruyff
The flood of tributes for Johan Cruyff continues as the latest memorial proposed to honour the deceased Dutch legend could see his name grace the country's national football stadium.
Plans are underway to rename the Amsterdam Arena - home of Eredivisie club Ajax and the national team - after Cruyff, a native of the Dutch capital.

Dutch FA president Michael van Praag expressed his excitement at the prospect paying tribute to arguably the greatest player the nation has produced.
"I can’t wait for the moment when we rename our stadium the Johan Cruyff Arena," Van Praag told Dutch TV, as translated by The Independent. "It's the best tribute we can pay him."
City councilor Ed van der Burg revealed plans, according to NBC Sports, to rename the stadium, but says the council will meet with Cruyff's family before.
Although the stadium was built well after his playing days concluded, it's a fitting gesture considering Cruyff made his name with the stadium's two occupants.
Cruyff's most successful period during his illustrious career came with Ajax, where he helped the team win eight Eredivisie titles and three European Cups. Meanwhile, he came one match short of winning the biggest international honour when the Netherlands lost the 1974 World Cup final to West Germany.
