Martin Demichelis to retire from international competition after Copa America

The 2015 Copa America will be the last time Martin Demichelis experiences international competition with Argentina.
The defender, 34, plans to retire from the national side at the conclusion of the tournament - one he no doubt hopes will conclude with the country capturing its 15th continental title.
"Whatever happens I will retire from the international team after the Copa America," he said.
"It would be nice to end my career that began in 2005 by winning the title."
Demichelis made his debut on the international stage in 2005, and has gone on to win 44 caps with the Albiceleste.
