Chile captured its first-ever Copa America title on Saturday night, defeating Argentina 4-1 on penalties (0-0 AET) after a breathtaking, physical, enthralling encounter in the Chilean capital of Santiago to end a 99-year drought in South America's premier competition.

Naturally, after a lifetime's worth of disappointment there was plenty of celebrating to be done when Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez chipped home the winning spot-kick.
