Can says Sancho 'needs to grow up' after haircut fine
Emre Can says teammate Jadon Sancho "needs to grow up" after the Borussia Dortmund star was fined for breaching Germany's lockdown rules to get a haircut.
"Jadon needs a little guidance," Can told Sky in Germany on Saturday, as ESPN translated. "He's a great boy, also off the pitch. It's true that I get along very well with him.
"He just has to be a little bit smarter about these things. Everyone needs a hairdresser. He needs to grow up. He can't afford to make mistakes like that in the future."
Can added that the incident doesn't bother the rest of the squad, and he suggested Sancho needs to surround himself with "people to guide him."
The German Football League (DFL) fined Sancho and his Dortmund teammate Manuel Akanji on Friday after the pair didn't follow strict health protocols when they received haircuts without wearing face masks.
Afterward, Sancho appeared to vent his frustration over the fine, writing "absolute joke" in a tweet that was later deleted.
