There's a new set-piece specialist at Anfield.

Liverpool announced Sunday that midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has been added to Jurgen Klopp's squad after finalizing an agreement with RB Leipzig.

The transfer came to fruition after the Reds triggered the €70-million (£60-million) release clause in Szoboszlai's Leipzig contract, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year pact that runs to 2028.

"It's really, really good. I enjoyed the last (few) days, and I'm looking forward to knowing everybody better," Szoboszlai said.

"The last three or four days went really long; it was not that easy. But at the end, I'm here, I'm happy, and I can't wait to get started.

"(A) really historic club, really good players, good coach, everything is good. For me, it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good."

Szoboszlai's the latest piece to be added to an overhauled Liverpool midfield. He's expected to play a pivotal role alongside the team's other big summer arrival, Alexis Mac Allister, who joined from Brighton and Hove Albion earlier in June.

He had 20 goals and notched 22 assists in all competitions during his two-year spell at RB Leipzig.

Szoboszlai has also developed a reputation for being a renowned set-piece specialist and someone capable of testing opposing goalkeepers with long-distance shots.
