Virus-hit Musiala still doubt, says Bayern coach Kompany

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala remains doubtful for Wednesday's Bundesliga clash with Hoffenheim, coach Vincent Kompany said.

"It's not certain he'll be there at all tomorrow, but we'll have a look in training today," Kompany said Tuesday.

"Having him in the squad would be a positive for us."

Musiala has emerged as Bayern's most important attacking force after Harry Kane, with 14 goals in all competitions this season.

With Musiala missing, Bayern needed a second-half Kane penalty to get past Borussia Moenchengladbach at the weekend and maintain their four-point lead ahead of Bayer Leverkusen atop the Bundesliga table.

Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund also shut down media speculation the club were on the verge of bringing Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku back to the Bundesliga.

"If things stay as they are, then the idea of bringing someone additional in to bolster our attack is off the table," said Freund.
