League Cup quarterfinal draw: Manchester United to meet 3rd-tier Charlton

League One's Charlton Athletic will face Manchester United in the quarterfinals of the League Cup after beating Brighton & Hove Albion on penalties in the fourth round.
Thursday's draw also pitted Southampton against Manchester City, which outduelled Liverpool 3-2 at Etihad Stadium earlier in the day.

- Manchester United vs. Charlton Athletic
- Southampton vs. Manchester City
- Nottingham Forest vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
- Newcastle United vs. Leicester City
The matches are scheduled to take place the week of Jan. 9, 2023.
