Haaland kicks off EPL season with 2 goals in Man City's opening-day win
The Premier League is back. So is Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian superstar christened the 2023-24 season with two goals in the first 36 minutes of Manchester City's season-opening win over Burnley.
Rodri rounded out the 3-0 victory with a second-half goal.
Haaland's now scored a brace in each of his last four season-opening matches between City and Borussia Dortmund. It's also the 10th time the bustling striker has scored two or more goals in a single Premier League game for City.
His fleet-footed finish after just 183 seconds gave newly promoted Burnley an early reminder of what life is like in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old striker lashed an unstoppable left-footed shot off the underside of the crossbar to double City's advantage in the 36th minute.
The goals ended Haaland's six-game scoring drought for City, the longest since he joined the club from Dortmund in June 2022.
His last competitive strike had come in a 3-0 win over Everton on May 14.
