Arsenal and Liverpool will lock horns in the third round of the FA Cup after the Premier League giants were drawn against each other Sunday.
Manchester City, who won last season's FA Cup, will host Huddersfield Town. Eighth-tier Ramsgate, the lowest-ranked team left in the competition, need to beat AFC Wimbledon in the second round Monday to earn a clash with impressive Championship side Ipswich Town.
Sunderland and Newcastle United will also meet for an overdue edition of the Tyne-Wear derby. The rivals' last bout was a 1-1 draw in March 2016 where Jermain Defoe opened the scoring for Sunderland before Aleksandar Mitrovic headed in a late equalizer.
The FA Cup third round will be contested between Jan. 5 and 8, 2024.
