Bukayo Saka has returned to Arsenal to be assessed for an injury that he suffered during England's defeat to Greece on Thursday.

The winger added to Arsenal's injury concerns after hobbling off the pitch in the 51st minute of the Nations League contest. The undisclosed injury has ruled him out of England's next game against Finland on Sunday.

"Saka has returned to Arsenal for further assessment, having been substituted during the second half of Thursday night’s match against Greece," read a statement from England.

Saka's Arsenal teammates Kai Havertz and Thomas Partey were recently forced to withdraw from their respective national teams with injuries. Arsenal are also without captain Martin Odegaard, who sustained a serious ankle injury during the October international break.

The Gunners will hope Saka is fit for their first match after the international break when they take on Bournemouth on Oct. 19.

Arsenal sit third in the Premier League table, level with reigning champions Manchester City on 17 points after seven games. Liverpool are first with 18.

England added that Liverpool's Curtis Jones also withdrew from the squad due to a "personal commitment."
