Norwich rescue point after stirring comeback vs. Middlesbrough
Norwich staged a dramatic recovery to seal a 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough in the English Championship on Sunday.
The Canaries were 3-1 down before half-time but fought back after the break in front of their own fans at Carrow Road for a share of the spoils that left both sides just a point outside the play-off places.
Borja Sainz's second goal of the game gave Norwich fresh hope before Kellen Fisher's cross was turned into his own net by Boro's Seny Dieng at the near post 10 minutes from full time.
Sainz had put Norwich ahead in the eighth minute with his 10th goal of the season -- a superb shot from outside the box.
Tommy Conway, however, equalised just three minutes later and scored his second in the 40th minute following a counter-attack from a Norwich corner.
Finn Azaz made it 3-1 from close range in first-half stoppage-time as he seized on a rebound after Norwich goalkeeper George Long blocked Hayden Hackney's powerful strike.
Conway could have put the result beyond doubt and grabbed himself a hat-trick into the bargain when Boro were awarded a penalty midway through the second half after Jose Cordoba's clumsy foul on Riley McGree.
But Long went the right way to save Conway's spot-kick.
