Luis Suarez: Ties Single-Season Scoring Record
Suarez's goal in the 55th minute of Monday's 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace was his 31st of the Premier League season, tying Alan Shearer and Cristiano Ronaldo for the 38-game single-season record.
Analysis:
Suarez will have one more shot to break the record, something he may have already done had he not been suspended for the first five games of the season as a result of a 10-match ban for biting Chlesea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season. Suarez not only tops the Premier League in goals this season, he also co-leads it in assists with 12, tied with teammate Steven Gerrard.
