Report: Swansea goalkeeper Fabianski to join West Ham for £7M
West Ham United is close to adding its new No. 1, as the London club is reportedly set to complete the signing of Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski in the next few days.
BBC Sport's Simon Stone reports Fabianski, who's in Russia with Poland for the World Cup, told the Swans he wished to leave the Welsh side following its relegation.
The Evening Standard's Jack Rosser suggests a deal for Fabianski to join West Ham could be completed "in the coming days" and will cost £7 million.
As quoted by the Evening Standard, Fabianski told Polish outlet Przeglad Sportow from Russia: "We need to wait a bit, but I won't be lying - something is going to happen.
"Now, I need to wait and be patient. If I leave Swansea, I will regret that it will happen after relegation to the Championship."
Fabianski spent four years at Swansea and missed just three Premier League games during his time in south Wales, one in each of his first three campaigns. He won the club's Player of the Season award for 2017-18.
He will surely become West Ham's first-choice stopper for next season following the conclusion of Joe Hart's loan deal from Manchester City.
