Eden Hazard: Hat Trick in Shutout
Hazard netted a hat trick during Chelsea's 3-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday. Hazard scored in open play in the 27th and 34th minutes before adding another goal from the penalty spot in the 63rd.
Analysis:
A downright dominant day for Hazard, who is now tied with Manchester City's Yaya Toure for the most goals (12) this season by a midfielder in Premier League play. He was simply a menace Saturday, taking six shots for the second time in his last three league matches. Chelsea does not get a ton of production from its strikers, but Hazard has been more than capable of picking up the scoring slack. He'll look to keep his excellent form going Tuesday at West Brom.
