Greg Norman's Saudi-backed golf league - now known as the LIV Golf Invitational - released its eight-tournament schedule Wednesday, with its first event set for June, according to Sports Illustrated's Bob Harig.

The league will offer a total purse of $250 million and feature 54-hole tournaments without cuts. Each event will feature a $25-million purse that will be split between individual and team results, and then a $30-million purse for the season-ending event, according to Harig.

The first tournament will be held June 9 at Centurion Golf Club in London. The league will make four stops in the U.S. and two other international stops before the Team Championship, which is scheduled for Oct. 28.

Norman said the league sent 250 players invitation letters Tuesday.

LIV Golf Invitational events are scheduled to take place at the same time as the PGA TOUR's Canadian Open, John Deere Classic, and Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, and world No. 1 Jon Rahm are a few of many popular golfers who have pledged their loyalty to the PGA TOUR amid rumors of the Saudi-backed league.
