Simply put, the atmosphere inside Anfield was electric ahead of Thursday's match.
Unlike most occasions where three-quarters of Anfield belts out "You'll Never Walk Alone," the buildup to the Europa League tie featured a a truly hair-raising rendition of the famous football ditty.

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund fans joined together to belt out the song that's become synonymous with each side over the years.
The two sets of fans then took part in a moment of silence to pay tribute to the 96 lives lost on the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

Dortmund fans also paid their respects outside of the stadium by laying flowers at the Hillsborough memorial.
