Crystal Palace players to join fans on steam train to Southampton
Crystal Palace supporters who choose to travel with the team for its final match of the season are in for a treat.
Crystal Palace FC co-owner Jeremy Hosking's love of vintage steam trains has led to a unique adventure for travelling supporters, as fans attending the season finale will have the pleasure of riding in a train hauled by a locomotive built in 1946.

Manager Alan Pardew and his players will join supporters on the journey home from Southampton station, the club announced, also providing a bit of history on the vintage train:
This locomotive was named after the Commanding Officer of RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain who is credited with having played a crucial role in Britain's aerial defence and, consequently, the defeat of Hitler's plans to invade Britain in World War Two.
