Just when it seemed as though he was starting to find his scoring touch at Liverpool, Divock Origi could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
The Belgian striker, who scored the opening goal of Wednesday's contest against Everton, left the match on a stretcher early in the second half after he was on the receiving end of a diabolical tackle from Ramiro Funes Mori.
The Argentine received a straight red card for the awful challenge.
With his goal in Wednesday's edition of the Merseyside derby, Origi brought his tally to five in as many matches, and looked to have established himself in Jurgen Klopp's attacking pecking order.
