Referee pranks Southampton hat-trick hero Sadio Mane

Referee Andre Marriner had a bit of fun at the expense of match hero Sadio Mane following Southampton's 4-2 win over Manchester City.

After the young forward bagged a first English Premier League hat-trick, Mane strolled across the pitch and planted a kiss on the match ball before Marriner interrupted the public display of affection.

With a straight face, Marriner snatched the ball away from Sane's hands. The official quickly turned around to hand the ball back to the 24-year-old and the two shared a quick laugh.
