Report: Manchester United closing in on Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan
Manchester United is close to reaching deals for striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano and Marcus Christenson.
United has set its sights on some of the biggest names in Europe, many of whom are represented by agent Mino Raiola.
Ibrahimovic is Raiola's biggest client, and the 34-year-old has now had the time to review the one-year, £220,000-a-week offer on the table. Romano and Christenson believe the big Swede, who retired from international football earlier this week, will fly to Manchester on July 1 to finalise one of the summer's transfer sagas.
Mkhitaryan is also the subject of interest from United, which is reportedly ready to pay £30 million for the 27-year-old.
Dortmund appeared prepared to rebuff any approach for the player, even though his contract expires next summer.
Mkhitaryan's camp, however, doesn't look interested in extending those terms.
In a recent interview, Raiola claimed that United is Mkhitaryan's "dream club," adding that "he wants to join them by any means."
The Red Devils could make it a triple swoop if they can persuade Juventus to part ways with dynamo Paul Pogba - another one of Raiola's clients apparently in play.
