Martin Demichelis officially leaves Manchester City
Martin Demichelis and the conflicting feelings he produces are gone from the Etihad Stadium.
On Tuesday, after three years with Manchester City during which he tallied 105 appearances, four goals, and one betting-related charge, Demichelis officially left the club.

Demichelis joined City from Atletico Madrid in September 2013 for a reported £4.2 million. The Citizens won the Premier League and the Capital One Cup during his inaugural season, but the last campaign saw him start only 10 times in the top flight of English football due to Nicolas Otamendi's arrival at the club. In one of those fixtures, the Argentinian centre-back was left for dead by Marcus Rashford, as the 35-year-old found himself lying on the pitch after the 18-year-old dribbled around him and scored the lone goal in a Manchester derby.
In May, two months after a teenager exposed Demichelis' lack of pace, the Argentinian centre-back was fined £22,058 for betting on matches and warned as to his future conduct by the Football Association.
City wished Demichelis "the very best for the future" and thanked him for his service.
