Burnley's Stephen Ward: Starts three Ireland matches during Euro 2016
Ward started three Republic of Ireland matches during Euro 2016, tallying one clean sheet, two shots off target, 10 crosses, two dribbles, five tackles and one yellow card on one foul, extending his international record to 36 caps and three goals. Ireland lost 2-1 out to France and were knocked out of the tournament at the round of 16.
Analysis:
Ward was excellent, whenever on the field, during Burnley's outstanding promotion-winning campaign last season. The 30-year-old left back finished the season with one goal, four assists and 14 clean sheets in 24 Championship appearances. He'll have to win out a regular starting spot, though, to have significant fantasy impact in 2016/17 Premier League season.
