Vincent Janssen is on the verge of becoming Tottenham's latest signing with reports that the forward has arrived in London to undergo a medical ahead of his transfer from AZ Alkmaar.
Officials from both clubs resumed negotiations Friday after the Dutch side rejected Tottenham's initial bid, with Lyall Thomas from Sky News reporting the north London side has agreed to Alkmaar's demands and will pay £18.8-million to secure Janssen's services.
Tottenham had originally submitted a bid worth £15 million but adviser Billy Beane - who is also the executive vice president of baseball operations and minority owner of the Oakland Athletics - suggested the club reject Spurs' initial attempt and wait for an improved bid.
Janssen, who led the Eredivisie in scoring last season after scoring 27 goals in 34 matches, admitted his frustration after AZ Alkmaar rejected the first offer, suggesting the club was being greedy, and has since gone on a tour of Tottenham's training ground.

Paris Saint-Germain and Wolfsburg were also said to be interested in a move for the Dutch international, but Janssen now looks set to compete for a role in Tottenham's attack alongside Harry Kane.
