Joe Allen, also known as "the Welsh Xavi" and "the Welsh Pirlo," is reportedly one step away from moving to Stoke-on-Trent, England.
The 26-year-old will undergo a medical at Stoke City on Monday before completing a £13-million transfer from Liverpool, according to James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo. Personal terms of the move were apparently agreed upon over the weekend after Mark Hughes convinced the Welsh midfielder to join the Potters, while Swansea City failed to match Stoke's bid following its offer of £8 million, which was rejected.
After struggling to win over Liverpool supporters during his first three seasons with the Reds, Allen made some crucial contributions for the Merseyside club in the last campaign and evolved into something of a cult figure. He then went to Euro 2016, commanding Wales' midfield as Chris Coleman's ride reached the semi-finals in fairy-tale style.

Assuming Allen doesn't pull on Liverpool's shirt again, he'll leave the Reds with a tally of seven goals and 132 appearances.
