Watch: Ibrahimovic nets flashy scissor-kick on Manchester United debut
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Manchester United career got off to a quick, emphatic start Saturday.
Ibrahimovic timed a perfect overhead kick barely four minutes into his debut against Galatasaray to score his first goal for United, making the best of an inviting cross from new teammate Antonio Valencia.
United conceded the next two strikes to its Turkish adversary but ultimately triumphed 5-2, with Wayne Rooney, Marouane Fellaini, and Juan Mata also getting on the score sheet.
But the main attraction was Ibrahimovic, who missed the Red Devils' preseason trip to the Far East. Speaking ahead of Saturday's friendly in Gotenburg, the 34-year-old super star said he was delighted to make his first appearance for United in front of fellow Swedes.
And he ensured it was one to remember.
"Ibra showed glimpses of the things he can bring us," Mourinho said after the final whistle.
Ibrahimovic is set to make his competitive debut on Aug. 7 in the Community Shield against defending Premier League champion Leicester City.
