Stoke City is set to complete Sweeney's signing for a fee in the region of £250,000, as the teenage defender should join the Potters on Friday after a medical, according to Sky Sports. The Dons could allegedly earn almost £1 million if bonus clauses are met.
Sweeney, a product of Wimbledon's academy, made 10 appearances in League Two last season as the club achieved promotion to League One.
