West Ham United has highlighted another target to fill the boots of Aaron Cresswell during his sustained layoff, with Olympiacos' Arthur Masuaku interesting manager Slaven Bilic, according to ESPN FC's Peter O'Rourke.
Left-back Cresswell fell to a knee ligament injury during preseason action, resulting in an estimated four-month absence, and first-choice replacement Davide Santon's loan from Inter Milan collapsed earlier this week after an alleged failed medical.
Masuaku would likely prove less of a stop-gap option for the Irons. He's aged just 22, and has proven one of the Piraeus club's more consistent performers through domestic and continental action since joining Olympiacos from Valenciennes two seasons ago. West Ham is apparently readying an offer worth around £6 million for the former France youth international.
Cresswell would be expected to win his place back in the squad upon his return to fitness. Since his 2014 transfer from Ipswich Town, the Scouser has emerged as a fan favourite in east London and been subject to calls for selection into the England national team.
West Ham starts the 2016-17 Premier League season with a trip to local rival Chelsea on Aug. 15.
