Report: West Brom expected to complete deal for Jeffrey Schlupp on Monday

Jeffrey Schlupp is reportedly set to leave the club he joined as an 11-year-old.

According to Sky Sports News HQ, Schlupp is expected to join West Bromwich Albion from Leicester City on Monday. The left-sided midfielder was apparently the subject of a £12-million offer, and, although the Foxes have yet to give a formal response, the bid is the Baggies' third for the 23-year-old and marks an improvement from its £9-million-offer, which was rejected.

Schlupp, who was born in Germany but represents Ghana at the international level, made 24 appearances as Leicester conquered the Premier League last season, 10 of which were as a substitute. He was apparently told by Claudio Ranieri that he may need to leave King Power Stadium in order to earn regular minutes this campaign, and he only took the pitch in the second half of the Foxes' 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in this year's Community Shield.

Of note, Schlupp became Leicester's first player in 66 years to score a hat-trick on his debut for the club, doing so in the Foxes' 4-1 victory over Rotherham United in the 2011-12 Carling Cup.
