Former Liverpool players Jamie Carragher and Stan Collymore didn't waste any time lambasting Mario Balotelli as the latter walked out the Anfield door on Wednesday.

Upon confirmation that the eccentric Italian had completed a permanent move to French side Nice prior to the closure of the transfer window, the pair took to Twitter, making their disgust for the attacker known.
Balotelli on a free is still paying over the odds by Nice.

Reports suggest Balotelli, who scored a mere four goals in 28 appearances for the Reds, joined Nice on a free transfer, fuelling Carragher's comment.
Collymore was significantly more harsh in his assessment of Balotelli, whose career has sputtered after showing immense promise early on.
Balotelli. Give him 6 months at Nice, then an "ambitious" Championship club, etc etc.
