Nottingham Forest unveils Bendtner signing
Nicklas Bendtner is back in English football after agreeing to a two-year contract with Nottingham Forest of the Championship.
The conceited Dane - once rumoured to have scored 10 out of nine in a self-confidence test at Arsenal - was a free agent following the termination of his deal at VfL Wolfsburg in April. He was guilty of numerous misdemeanours in Lower Saxony, including oversleeping and upsetting club sponsor Volkswagen, but has now been handed another chance by Forest manager Philippe Montanier.
His opportunity to pit his skills against former employer Arsenal comes soon too, with the City Ground outfit hosting the Gunners in a League Cup third-round tie on Sept. 20.

The 28-year-old striker has so far failed to live up to his lofty praise, first struggling to win the trust of Arsene Wenger in north London, then failing to significantly impose himself during loan spells at Birmingham City, Sunderland, and Juventus. He left for Wolfsburg in 2014.
On the banks of the River Trent, Bendtner joins a youthful side that currently occupies seventh place in the second tier. Given Scottish teenager Oliver Burke's recent £13-million sale to RB Leipzig, Bendtner will hope to be the beneficiary of Nicolao Dumitru's wing work following his loan move from Napoli on Tuesday.
That new duo could both debut in Sunday's trip across the Midlands to Aston Villa.
