Agent: United reached out over potential deal for Valencia's Villalba
Manchester United has apparently set its sight on Valencia youngster Fran Villalba.
The 18-year-old's agent, Vicente Fores, claims the English side has contacted him in order to learn more about Villalba - who made his debut under manager Gary Neville last season prior to the United legend's dismissal - before possibly submitting a transfer offer in the future.
"We've just started talking. It's up to United," Fores revealed in an interview with Sport Witness, courtesy of ESPN FC.
The midfielder also reportedly has a €4-million release clause in his contract with the Spanish side.
Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Super Duerte reports United will face plenty of competition, as several clubs have apparently expressed interest in Villalba.
But, according to Fores, Valencia has arranged a meeting in order to discuss a new contract.
Villalba is currently plying his trade with the Spanish side's youth outfit, Valencia CF Mestalla.
