Charlton Athletic and Coventry City supporters stood united at the Valley on Saturday, protesting against their respective club's ownership groups with a pregame march and plenty of signs but it was the Sky Blues' supporters who really took the pig to the slaughter.
Namely, Coventry fans rained down a cascade of rubber pigs causing a five minute delay as the stadium grounds crew cleaned up the litter.
Charlton supporters are unhappy with the state of their club under owner Roland Duchatelet while Coventry fans are protesting Sisu Capital Ltd., a hedge fund that owns the team.
The two clubs' perils are nothing to snort at, but Coventry fans will likely hog more of the spotlight for this ribbing display.
