Look: Popped blood vessel in Courtois' eye worries Chelsea fans
Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was seeing red in a friendly tilt against the Netherlands, though not for the reason you'd expect.
The Chelsea shot-stopper didn't feature in the 1-1 match, with Simon Mignolet the preferred option in Amsterdam. However, the camera did manage to spot Courtois sporting a bloodshot left eye.

While gruesome-looking, Courtois said the problem shouldn't cause any long-term issues with his vision, as some initial reports indicated.
Everything's ok with my eye, had it for 2 weeks and doesn't effect my goalkeeping ๐๐๐ป

That's what happens when a small blood vessel in the eye pops. Usually causing no vision problems or significant eye discomfort. #nopanic

Though rare, Courtois isn't the only player to hurt his eye this week, as Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie was also rushed to hospital with a similar problem.
