The 28-year-old has overcome a groin injury that's kept him out of action since November, when he sustained the knock on international duty with England.
Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino was included as a starter after recovering from a minor calf injury.
Divock Origi will join Firmino in attack as the Belgian forward makes his first Premier League start of the season.
Livepool teenager Ben Woodburn, 17, will have a chance to make his first league appearance after being included as a substitute.
The Merseyside outfit will look to climb back into second place in the table against a Bournemouth side that sits just outside the top 10.
